Ansel Adams 가 남긴 말이라고 어떤 책에서 보았는데 무슨 뜻인지 감은 오면서도 정확히 뭘 의미하는지 잘 몰랐었는데 여러분들과 출사를 다니고 여러분들의 사진을 보면서 더 이해가 되었습니다. 저는 "Taking a picture" 와 "Making a picture" 중 뭐가 옳다가 아니고 그냥 "아 이 두가지가 이렇게 다른거구나" 하고 느낍니다.
마침 정회원 월례모임때 사용해보기로 한 책인 "Stunning Digital Photography" 에 Tony & Chelsea 가 정리해 놓은것이 있어서 공유합니다.

- Edit the picture to complete your vision.
- See something you want to remember.

그동안 ND filter 가 없어서 Slow Shutter Speed 로 찍기 힘들었는데,
오늘 아침에 San Jose Camera 가게에서 내가 몇달전에 오더한 10 Stop ND filter 가 도착했다고 전화가 왔어요.
몇달전에 오더한 거라 저도 한동안 완전 깜박 했었는데, 코로나 사태 때문인지 정말 시간이 오래 걸려서 왔네요. 아마 해외에서 걸어서 왔는듯....ㅋㅋ.

늘 기억 할께요!
요즘 사진에 빛을 넣어 찍어보려고 노력 하는 중요
빛이 있는 사진은 숨결이 느껴지고 빛이 없는 사진은 너무 단순해 보여요. 특히 아침 햇살이 가장 예쁜듯 하지만 늦은 오후 햇빛도 강열해서 좋더라고요.
4. Find the best time
빛이 적은 저녁때는 정말 사진의 포커스가 잘 안맞고 하이라이트도 없어져서 명암도 그저 그렇고 사진이 잘 안 나와요.
저는 사진을 찍을때 가장 먼저 생각하는게 Depth of Field 이기 때문에 피사체의 Geometry 를 분석하고,
그것에 따라 F 값을 정해요.
또 피사체에 해가 약간이라도 닿아 있어야 한다고 생각해서 주로 그런 조건이 있는 피사체를 골라요.
다른 분들은 어떻게 하시는지 궁금하네요.
